PHE’s receive training and experience in facilitating health education programs, motivating behavior change, and developing wellness or risk reduction initiatives. The peer education program is an extension of Health Promotion with collective goals and objectives. Peer health educators must be dependable, non-judgmental, motivated, and have the desire to help others while maintaining sensitivity and confidentiality. We also expect peer educators to be good role models for healthy lifestyles. |
