T.H.E. L.O.C.

T.H.E. LOC (Total Health Empowerment for Ladies of Color), a peer education group at Thagard Student Health Center, was developed as a minority women’s health initiative to increase awareness on FSU’s campus of healthcare issues encountered by women of color.

T.H.E. LOC was founded as a student response to address racial/ethnic disparities in health status in the United States. The group provides a forum by which women of color
can participate in, be educated and educate others about issues that affect their health
and well being.
