Modeled after Healthy
People 2010, a nation-wide initiative, Healthy Campus 2010 Student
Style was created for students interested in taking a leadership
role in creating a healthier campus community environment. Areas
of interest include
alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, stress, sexual health and nutrition. Healthy
Campus 2010 Student Style is an integral part of Thagard Student Health Center,
acting as a liaison between students and Florida State University administration.
It is comprised of a diverse group of student volunteers who advocate the healthcare
needs of FSU students and improve the healthcare environment through peer leadership
and advocacy. Representatives from each of the peer health promotion groups are
asked to serve on the advisory board. However, all students are welcome to become
part of the Healthy Campus 2010 Committee.
