In addition to urgent care*, Thagard Student Health Center provides
basic, out-patient primary care services on an appointment-basis
including:

Physical examinations
- Respiratory illnesses (such as colds,
flu, sore throats, sinus infections, bronchitis, pneumonia,
asthma, and allergies)
- Abdominal complaints (such as stomach
pains, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and acid reflux
problems)
- Male urinary complaints (such as burning with urination,
prostate problems, testicular problems, and sexually transmitted
infections)
- Skin conditions (such as rashes, eczema, poison
ivy, bumps, and scrapes)
- Headaches
- Orthopedic problems (such as back pain, sprains,
and strains)
- Chronic medical conditions (such as diabetes, high
blood pressure, and high cholesterol)
- Common procedures (such
as IV fluids, asthma treatments, minor surgical procedures,
and ear lavage/irrigation)
- Elective procedures (such as skin
biopsies and mole removal)
- Diagnostic procedures (such as lab
tests, x-rays, pulmonary function tests, and vision screenings)
- Immunizations
(including Meningitis and Hepatitis B)
These services are provided on appointment-basis through our
Garnet (located on the 1st Floor) and Gold (located on the 2nd
Floor) clinics. Call 644-4567 for an appointment.
*TSHC also is here to
serve urgent care needs. If you are bleeding excessively,
vomiting so much
you can’t keep
fluids down, having difficulty breathing (or wheezing), think
you have a fractured
bone, or have chest pain, a fever of over 101 degrees, or are
having difficulty swallowing, come to TSHC and you will be seen
immediately. Check in at the information desk on the first floor.
You will be evaluated by a nurse and, if necessary, then be seen
by a physician.
Remember to always dial 911 in an emergency. Meet
