Thagard Student Health Center offers laboratory, radiology
(x-ray),
and physical therapy services on-site for the convenience of
students.

Lab |

Laboratory services at Thagard Student Health
Center are provided on-site through Quest Diagnostics. The
laboratory, located on the second floor of TSHC, performs
many tests in-house as ordered by clinicians with rapid turn
around time. Also, it provides many specialty test services,
which can be sent to a Quest Diagnostics reference lab with
24 to 48-hour turnaround times. Results and interpretation
of laboratory tests are provided only by clinicians. Lab
procedures are not covered by the student health fee, but
are provided at reduced costs and billed through TSHC to
allow for better discounts and deferments if necessary. |

Radiology
(X-Ray) |
 |
Located in the basement of TSHC, the radiology
department houses licensed radiology technologists who are
available to perform routine x-rays and EKGs (electrocardiograms).
X-Ray interpretation is provided by board certified radiologists
within the community at a reduced rate. Their fees are included
in the cost of x-rays as billed by TSHC (so there are no
unexpected charges.). Inquiries regarding results of x-rays
or EKGs should be directed to health care providers. For

Physical
Therapy |
 |
Physical therapy services are provided on-site
in the basement of TSHC through Tallahassee Orthopedic and
Sports Physical Therapy. The clinic offers general orthopedic
physical therapy services by physician referral. Costs of
physical therapy services are not covered by the health fee.
However, most insurance plans are accepted and billed by
the physical therapy clinic and discounts are provided for
students and their dependents. For appointments or insurance
