To take advantage
of TSHC services, including free office visits for illness or
injury, students must be currently enrolled at FSU. Recent graduates
are eligible to use TSHC services on a fee-for-service basis
up to six months after they graduate. Please note, students in
town but not taking classes (for instance during the summer),
will be charged for visits to TSHC. Again, students must be enrolled
in classes for illness or injury office visits to be free of
charge.
Before you come to
Thagard Student Health Center, there are several things you
should know to make your visit as smooth as possible. Remember,
TSHC
operates on an appointment-only basis. Unless you require urgent
care*, call (850) 644-4567 for an appointment. Click on one
of the links below for important information on the following:
*TSHC also is here to serve
urgent care needs. If you are bleeding excessively, vomiting
so much you can’t keep fluids down, having difficulty
breathing (or wheezing), think you have a fractured bone, or
have chest pain, a fever of over 101 degrees, or are having
difficulty swallowing, come to TSHC and you will be seen immediately.
Check in at the information desk on the first floor. You will
be evaluated by a nurse and, if necessary, then be seen by
a physician.
